Pasta with bacon, green peas and saffron

This is a really simple dish, because it doesn’t need a lot of time to prepare it and it’s pretty easy. Moreover, I think it’s suitable for winter and summer either, because if you change some ingredients, such as tuna or tomatoes instead bacon, you can prepare a fresh pasta salad, with the marvelous flavor that saffron has!
Pasta all’Amatriciana

This is a kind of pasta that my bf and I really like to eat! It’s very easy to prepare! So hurry up and try!
Ingredients for 4 persons:
- 1 pound of spaghetti or bucatini
- 1 can of Italian tomato pulp (400 g about 15 ounces)
- 3-4 tablespoon of extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/2 onion
- 3-4 ounces of thickly sliced pancetta (= bacon), finely diced
- crushed or powdered red pepper
- salt
- some basil leaves
- pecorino/parmigiano
